SDSU koi pond.......such a tranquil place it is! A dozen of colorful carps, same number of turtles...a canopy of sycamore and strawberry tree...the pond bordered by asparagus fern and bird-of-paradise...

Autumn fun.......

Looks like I had quite a good time with autumn.....treading and scuffing through fallen leaves...

Golden chalice flower........

Ever since I saw this vine with stunning blooms at a Seaside house, I was fascinated with it.....

The buttery-smooth buds...

The cheerful yellow flowers...

Dyed, tinted fresh flowers...........

Saw these unusually vibrant-colored flowers...learned they have been dyed........
to create a spectrum of shades...

Christmas-specific..........red, green and white...

Daisy and carnation are ideal for this tinting purpose.......

Weeping willow...............

Weeping willows are beautiful, with long, drooping branches swaying gently......

To me, they are dreamy, as if theycan transport to a fairy-tale world...

Learnt somewhere that need good amount of water...that  must be the reason the sole, impressive plant in SDSU campus is at the edge of koi pond..

Bird-of-paradise flowers......

They are unique in their shape and vibrant in colors..........great accent to any yard........when hummingbirds hover about them to suck nectar, it makes  a rewarding sight......
