Gazania bloom season.........

This time of the year, these low-profile but gorgeous gazania blooms brighten the slopes, street sides....

My paintings (1) :Water color on solid media paper..

Painting bug bit me...I shelled out  hundreds of bucks to get the accessories and embarked on the latent hobby.....

Turns out, these papers are meant for solid media only.
No wonder, my water and acrylic color paintings were unappealing.
Learnt from mistake, and now ordered for cold press water color papers...waiting for them to arrive..

Herbal drink to ease the sore throat...

When we have  winter cold and sore throat, rather than gulping on those antibiotics, we sip these homemade brew.....made of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, black pepper, cloves and ginger boiled for 8-10 minutes....then strained...and mized with some sugar (rock sugar preferred)..

The hot, aromatic drink with essential oils of the above culinary herbs soothes the inflamed linings...

African daisies blooming in San Diego........

South California ushers in spring faster than anywhere else.....the mild temperature and January rain, induces the wild flowers to bloom as early as early February...like these African daisies, they are brightening the flowers bed and slopes with mosaic of white, pink and purple...

Carolina jasmine.....

It is the season of pretty Carolina jasmine...

Pizza making at home...

Some days back, I tried my hands at pizza making...........from scratch....

It looked okay...but was not that savory as expected...
The crust did not rise, the dough was still chewy, the sauce was garlicky and runny...so many issues to fix...

Next attempt was much better, yet need to work on dough rising..
