When we have winter cold and sore throat, rather than gulping on those antibiotics, we sip these homemade brew.....made of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, black pepper, cloves and ginger boiled for 8-10 minutes....then strained...and mized with some sugar (rock sugar preferred)..
The hot, aromatic drink with essential oils of the above culinary herbs soothes the inflamed linings...
